The Fender Stratocaster is iconic in both sound and design. Here's your chance to purchase an original pre-CBS example in classic sunburst.
Body: Original sunburst finish with natural checking throughout. The red hues in burst have gracefully faded as shown under pickguard. 64 stamp in neck cavity.
Neck: Maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard. Clay dot inlays. Nut Width: 1-5/8”. Neck stamp is Oct. 1964
Pickups/Hardware: Original grey bottom single coil pickups are strong at 5.55 (neck), 6.08 (middle) and 5.78 (bridge). Pickups dates are 11-23-64. Pots date 28th week of 1964. Original Pat no stamped Double Kluson tuners hold strong. Tremelo arm and springs, grounding plate, pickup height adjust spacers, pickguard screws are replacements. All inonation screws move freely. Original pickguard shows signs of shrinkage, free of cracks.
Cosmetic Condition: Plenty of honest play wear, dings, checking. No breaks. One deep scuff on the back of the neck, one long scratch by cover plate. Well loved, not abused.
