From The Ventures to Dinosaur Jr., many bands have had their sound defined by the Fender Jazzmaster's unique tone. This Pre-CBS example features an old purple refin with a nice playing neck and original electronics.
Body:Purple refin (done sometime before 1997) has naturally reliced with decades of normal wear and tear. Original sunburst finish is still evident in control cavities. Fender's classic balanced offset body shape. Original tort guard looks great against the purple finish.
Neck: Maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard. Clay dot inlays. 7.25" radius fingerboard with 21 frets, 25.5" scale. Nut Width: 1 5/8”. Neck stamp is 4 May 64 B (Jazzmaster, May 64, B size)
Pickups/Hardware: Original 'grey bottom' single coil pickups date June 10th and 12th 1964. 7.23 (neck) and 9.68 (bridge). Pots date codes are 1346914 (14th week 1969) and 3046427 (27th week 1964) Original Kluson tuners hold strong. Neck plate stamp is L33671. Includes original tremelo bar.
Cosmetic Condition: Plenty of honest play wear, dings, checking. No breaks. Well loved.
Playability: Frets show some play wear, but plenty of life left. Nice medium action. Notes ring out clear and true throughout the fretboard. Guitar has been fully cleaned, set up, intonated in shop.
Modifications/Repairs: Body Refinished in purple, otherwise original condition with no cracks or repairs.
